L-Carnitine Injections in Waterbury, CT
L-carnitine is a compound the body makes and also gets from food, especially meat and dairy. It helps move fatty acids into cells to be used for energy. At InHouse Medical, any injection starts with a visit with a licensed provider.
What the FDA-approved form is for
Levocarnitine injection is FDA-approved for two situations only: carnitine deficiency caused by certain inherited metabolic disorders, and carnitine deficiency in people with end-stage kidney disease on dialysis. It is given into a vein.
It is not FDA-approved for weight loss, energy, or exercise performance, and we do not offer or describe it for those purposes.
Compounded Products (required on methylcobalamin, NAD+, MIC, and any compounded L-carnitine)
This is a compounded preparation made by a licensed pharmacy for an individual patient on a prescription. Compounded preparations are not FDA-approved. The FDA has not evaluated them for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Nothing on this page is a claim that this injection treats, prevents, or improves any condition.
What we do not claim
We do not claim L-carnitine injections cause weight loss, burn fat, or raise energy. Studies of carnitine supplements for weight and energy in people without deficiency have mixed or limited results.
